I highly recommend this crucifix -- anyone who I have showed it too is awed by the unique wood grain of the olive wood, which is most likely the type of wood from which Jesus' cross was constructed.
The quality of this cross is quite good for $15 (with shipping). Considering that this cross is made of olive wood, I think it is an excellent buy.

Perfect for little handsNov 11, 2011

Bought this for my 2 year old, who wants is obsessed with the cross that the altar servers carry and has a lot of trouble staying away from it in the the narthex. The cross is perfect for his little hands - we use it for daily prayer and he can carry it. We haven't taken it to Mass yet, but will - the size will be great for him to hold without being any more of a distraction than he already is as an active 2 year old boy. The wood is beautiful and the Jesus is actually a little larger than shown in the picture.

I'm teaching my son to pray and it's nice that this is the image of Jesus he looks up to at nighttime when we say our prayers. It's very undrstated, not too much imagery for a 3 year old, which is great.

This is a beautiful small cross that fits perfectly in a square in our travel trailer and its wood color contrasts and complements the wood on which it is mounted. It is perfect for our application.
